Debswana Diamond Company – Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mineswould like to invite suitably qualified candidates for the above role. This role is an Executive position and reports to the mine General Manager.

SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

Job Summary
To lead the Finance Team to support – Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines in achieving its strategic goals through sound financial leadership, implementation of good corporate governance principles and translation of corporate strategy into operational specific goals and objectives.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• FCCA/FCIMA or equivalent
• 10 years post qualifi cation experience 5 years of managing a full Finance Section.
• Completion of Executive Development Programme (EDP) will be added advantage

Key Effectiveness Areas

• Manages the budget, Life of Mine Financial Planning and Forecasting for the operation.
• Contributes to the development of the overall Finance Strategy.
• Leads and manages interfaces with Centralised Services at Debswana Corporate Centre.
• Develops implements and monitors operational financial policies and procedures.
• Ensures financial controls are in place in line with Group standards and statutory requirements.
• Delivers effective and integrated performance management and business planning information (e.g. budgets, fore- casts management reporting and analysis) on a timely basis.
• Manages expenditure by ensuring adequate cost controls are in place.
• Supports project investment decisions to ensure adequate return on investments.
• Manages the operations cash fl ow in liaison with Treasury and Centralized Services.
• Ensures financial compliance in key contracts
• Prepares and reviews year-end audits timely
• Manages the Finance team’s performance and development.
• Adheres to company safety health and environment policies and procedures
