Job Summary
To manage, coordinate and execute engineering maintenance and project activities in the designated sections to ensure the achievement of set business objectives.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in an Engineering discipline – Mechanical, Electrical or Control and Instrumentation.
- Seven (7) years post qualification engineering experience including Engineering In Training (EIT) programme
- Maintenance Management training
- Middle Management Development Program
- Registration with Botswana Engineers’ Registration Board
Added Advantage
- Experience in a senior role
- Experience on crushers and pumps
Key Effectiveness Areas
- Analyses the sectional area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs
- Contributes towards the development of the departmental Asset Management and Maintenance
- strategies, standards, systems and practices, maintenance of a diamond plant and all associated infrastructure
- Interprets, co-ordinates and optimises the Asset Management and Maintenance strategy execution systems through the implementation of Asset Management Plan and develops necessary systems/ standards
- Coordinates the implementation of a short/medium term engineering plan aligned to the Mine Strategic Plan in conjuction with relevant departments; disseminates and translates the short/medium term plan into action plans to achieve targets and goals
- Maintenance of Diamond Plant and all associated infrastructure.
- Implementation of Best Practices in the maintenance field, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
- Develops and ensures maintenance of the critical spares program
- Maintenance of HME (Heavy Earthmoving Equipment) including shovels, drills, haultrucks and ancillary equipment
- Manages the continuous improvement program to ensure optimal equipment availability and cost savings
- Continually monitors progress of all work and projects assigned to ensure timely, efficient and safe completion of all tasks.
- Provides leadership to his direct reports and ensures timely, efficient and safe completion of all tasks.
- Implements employee performance processes to ensure optimum employee performance and takes appropriate action to remedy any substandard employee performance or behavior
