The Botswana Public Officers’ Pension Fund is a Defined Contribution Fund for Public Officers. It has more than 150 000 members, 7 000 pensioners and has operations in Gaborone, Francistown, Kang and Maun.
The Fund invites young ambitious Batswana Citizens to apply for the positions below which are tenable in all our operations. Please note that for position 1, 2, 3, 7 &10 below, a valid Botswana driver’s license is required.
1. Member Centre Consultant (10) Gaborone
The Member Centre Consultants will receive and reconcile contributions, administer pension and trust funds in accordance with relevant regulations to ensure accurate and timely payment of benefits.
The incumbent will have effective communication and administrative skills and data management.
A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
2. Office Administrator (4) Kang, Gaborone, Francistown & Maun
The Office Administrators will maintain administrative records, manage financial transactions and provide clerical support to facilitate day to day activities of the Regional Office.
The incumbent will have experience in administration, accounting and document management
A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting Qualification is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
3. Records Officer (2) Gaborone
The Records Officers will implement the fund’s maintenance, distribution, use, retention and disposal of records in accordance with policy and ethical standards.
The incumbent will have knowledge of records management, storing & protection of records, document management.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Archives and Records Management or any other related business science is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
4. Cleaner (1) Maun
The purpose of this role is to provide cleaning and general assistance services in order to promote a positive image of the Fund.
The incumbent will be knowledgeable in cleaning, safety and health/environment.
At least a Junior Certificate qualification will be required as well as 3 years experience as a cleaner.
5. Call Centre Operator (5) Gaborone
The Call Centre Operators will service the Fund centre operations in order to minimize queries and meet customer service standards.
The incumbent must have maturity in customer service, telephone caller handling, and Client education/ complaint resolution.
A minimum of O Levels is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
6. Call Centre Supervisor (1) Gaborone
The Call Centre Supervisor will be responsible for managing all contacts with customers to ensure superior service delivery.
The incumbent must show maturity in customer service and other strategies to ensure Client education/ complaint resolution.
A relevant Diploma is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
7. Driver Messenger (1) Maun
The incumbents will be expected to show expertise in mail room management, fleet management as well as execution and delivery.
A minimum O’Level qualification will be required as well as a valid light duty vehicle license and 5 years proven driving experience.
8. Front Desk Officer (1) Maun
The Front Desk Officer will be required to manage the switchboard and attend to other office administrative duties as required.
The incumbent will show expertise in Telephone Caller Handling, customer reception and channelling as well as other office administrative duties.
A minimum O Levels qualification will be required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
9. Security Officers (3), Kang, Maun and Francistown
The purpose of the role is to provide security and protection to the Fund’s premises and general client/customer assistance.
The incumbent must have a clean criminal record.
At least an O’Levels qualification is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience.
10. Accounts Clerk (2) Gaborone
The purpose of the role is to prepare accurate financial records as well as processing journals into all specialised ledges and accounting software.
A Diploma in Accounting qualification is required as well as 3 years post qualification experience
The remuneration for the above positions will be commensurate with the education and experience.
