Managing Director

Duties and Resposibilities

- Work closely with the board of Directors and assist in strategy formulation and decision-making

- Develop and execute the company's strategic and financial vision and policies as set out by the Board of Directors

- Develop and deliver Botswana, African and Global product strategy and investment solution for the company

- Manage key relationships with internal and external partners

- Develop and coordinate internal and external positioning and messaging

- Lead and implement fund messaging strategy in partnership with distribution partners

- Support both Institutional and Retail sales and distribution

Qualifications and Requirements

- An MBA or equivalent Master’s degree in Finance, preferably from a reputed institution. A CFA charter would be a definite advantage.

- At least 10 years of proven experience in Asset Management, out of which at least 5 years' experience in direct Funds/Portfolio Management, preferably for Equity and Fixed Income Investments solutions. Proven Asset Management experience in Africa and/or Emerging/Frontier Markets solutions is a requisite.

- Strong leadership skills that can manage a high-functional team to deliver results and grow engagement; skilled at operating at both the strategic and tactical levels.
