The above vacancies exist in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture in the various Districts and Sub- Districts.

Salary Scale: D2 (P210, 180 – P232, 056) per annum.
Leave: 30 working days per annum.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Work/Social Sciences/Sport Administration/Arts Administration/Arts Management/ Cultural Studies/Library and Information Studies/Archives and Records Management or related field. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To facilitate implementation of Culture and Heritage, Arts, Youth, Sport and Recreation programmes in the District.

Key performance areas:
• Guides and supports implementation of Culture and Heritage, Arts, Sport and Youth Policies, Programmes and Projects in the District.
• Consolidates progress reports on all programmes and projects implemented in the District and submit to the District Coordinator.
• Disseminates and interprets Acts, Policies and programmes to the public and other stakeholders within the District.
• Conducts field visits to monitor programmes and projects.
• Liaises with stakeholders in the planning, coordination and implementation of MYSC programmes in the District.
• Makes recommendations for the review of Culture and Heritage, Arts, Sport and Youth policies and programmes.
• Identifies potential sponsors for MYSC programmes in the district and makes recommendations to the District Coordinator.
• Monitors compliance to policies and procedures within the District.
• Consolidates the District budget and manpower estimates for submission to the District Coordinator.

• Manages all resources within the District (fleet, movable and immovable property).
