1.TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OFFICER
1.1.Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Director Cluster Development, the incumbent will be responsible for the identification and commercialization of intellectual property arising from research innovations, indigenous knowledge and technology developments. S/He will advice on commercial issues in contracts, identify and protect intellectual property (IP), and take a lead role in commercializing the IP through licensing and/or the creation of start-up companies.
1.2.Academic and other requirements
•Degree in Science/Engineering/
•Minimum of 3 years experience in the technology transfer or innovation or commercialization field
•Valid driving license
•Applicants must demonstrate experience in project management and/or new product or business development.
•Applicants must also have post graduate research knowledge.
