Senior Fellow - Research Ethics

COHRED is an international, independent, non-profit and non-governmental

organisation with offices in Geneva, Switzerland; Gaborone, Botswana; and

Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

We drive health, equity and socio-economic development by optimizing the

production and use of research and innovation for health. We work globally

but prioritize low income countries and populations.

We deliver solutions and services in two complementary ways : through direct

technical support and through global action.

One of our flagship products is RHInnO Ethics – a cloud-based software

service aimed at improving the quality of ethics review of health research

while at the same time greatly accelerating the review process. It has

now been installed in nearly 15 sites with options for 30 more, in 6 African

countries. The ultimate goal is to get more ethical research done and bring

products sooner to those who need it most – globally.

COHRED is currently seeking expert support from one (or more) persons who

have senior, hands-on experience in running Research Ethics Committees

/ Institutional Review Boards. As a Senior Fellow and COHRED Associate,

you will be able to help us to greatly accelerate and improve quality of ethics

review of health research in the research that matters to solve global health

problems in low and middle income countries.

As a non-profit organisation, we recover costs to make sure the RHInnO

Ethics platform can grow and be maintained – while we aim to price it as low

as possible. We therefore request your time on a volunteer basis – full-time or

part-time. We will be able to cover any operational expenditures. You can onsite

in Geneva or Gaborone – or simply, off site, at home.
