SALARY: B3 (P 36, 108-43,176) per annum

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Batswana citizens for the below mentioned post tenable in City of Francistown Council.

QUALIFICATION: i) JC / O Level School Leaving Certificate and Heavy duty “class C” drivers’ license with 2 years validity period.
ii) Promotion to this Grade will be limited to serving officers who have served at least 2 years as Fireman II and in possession of Heavy duty “class C” drivers’ license with 2 years validity period.

LEAVE RATE: 20 working days per annum

BENEFITS: Contributory pension scheme (Govt pays 15% and Employees pay 5%). Optional medical aid scheme (Govt pays 50%, employee pays 50%).

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To drive to the fire and emergency scenes and operate fire pumps and other equipment

DUTIES:
• Drives fire appliances to the scene of emergency
• Operates fire pumps and other fire services equipment
• Provides first aid and medical care in case of emergencies
• Conducts standard test of fire pumps and related equipment.
