Botswana Savings Bank BSB, is a financial services organization in Botswana. It is licensed as a development bank by the Bank of Botswana, the national banking regulator.

BSB is a government-owned financial services organisation that mobilizes domestic savings by accepting customer deposits, grants loans on commercial terms and offers other financial services as it considers necessary to meet the needs of the people of Botswana. Established in 1992 by act of parliament, the bank offers savings accounts, mortgage loans, automobile loans and other secured loans to its customers. The Bank is a member of the World Savings Banks Institute.[2] According to the Bank of Botswana, Botswana Savings Bank had an asset base of approximately US$73 million (BWP:480 million) as of December 2009.

SPECIALIST, PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

The incumbent will report directly to the Head, Strategy & Innovation. The Specialist, Project Management will be responsible for designing, planning and executing a spectrum of strategic projects to ensure quality and timely delivery within budget.

Key Accountabilities
Manage and oversee the Banks’s special projects and tasks
Establish and execute project scope, objectives, constraints, assumptions and strategies.
Manage project resources in conjunction with functional Heads.
Manage da-to-day operational aspects of project and scope.
Monitors and reports on schedule and cost, margins and profitability.
Effectively applies Project Management methodology.
Prepares for engagement reviews and assurance procedures.
Position Requirements
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, with a Project Management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2.

HEAD, CLIENT SERVICES 

The incumbent will report directly to the Director, Operations. The Head, Client Services will be responsible for planning, developing and managing the cost efficient provision of client services through the Bank’s distribution channels in order to optimize customer satisfaction. 

Key Accountabilities

Develop and implement client services plan and align the departmental goals to the overall corporate objectives.

Develop and manage the channel management strategy for the Bank.

Develop, implement and drive the client services strategy.

Provide for safe custody of cash and secure documentation.

Accurate reconciliation of cash movements.

Identify and anticipate future customer’s demands and profiles.

Motivate, identify and develop talent amongst divisional staff.

Position Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Banking/Accounting/Finance or related field. Associate membership of Botswana Institute of Bankers. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage. 

HEAD, STRATEGY AND INNOVATION.

The incumbent will report directly to the Director, Enterprise Support. The Head, Strategy and Innovation will be responsible for managing the overall BSB strategy planning and coordination process and managing internal excellence and standardization, innovation and optimization processes in order to derive maximum competitive advantage. 

Key Accountabilities

Define the Banks’ strategic intent and organizational goals

Develop operational excellence and strategy, policies and procedures.

Manage the BSB strategy planning process and cycle on behalf of the CEO.

Optimise banking processes and procedures.

Plan, organize and control the day-to-day activities of the Strategy & Innovation Office

Develop frameworks conducive to the execution and measurement of deliverables in relation to strategy.

Establish and institutionalize innovation management throughout the organization.

Position Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management, Economics, Business Administration or an alternative Business qualification; preferably with a Project Management qualification.
