The International HIV/AIDS Alliance works with communities through local, national and global action on HIV, health and human rights. Our vision is a world without AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is seeking two Senior Advisors within our UK-based Africa team, who will take the lead in managing the relationships between the Alliance Linking Organisations (LO) and the provision of technical support. The Senior Advisors will be responsible for understanding the LO and how it fits into the national AIDS response, and they will lead processes that bring LOs, key Alliance players and others together to support meaningful change in individual and groups of LOs. This includes, but is not limited to, positioning the LO within their government, donors, the private sector and other stakeholders. In collaboration with the Regional Manager, the Senior Advisors will also contribute to the Alliance’s strategic directions in the region.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in programme management and organisational development, experience of working with key populations and/or fragile states or countries in conflict/post-conflict, and they will possess significant knowledge of the socio-economic and political realities of the region.
