FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY

 

VACANCY NO. FET/CE 13/2014:   PART-TIME LECTURERS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING (3 positions)

 

Duties: The successful applicants will be required to teach the following undergraduate level courses

a)       Remote Sensing/Photogrammetry (1 position)

b)       Engineering and Mining Surveying (1)

c)       Real Estate Management (1 position)

Requirements:

a)       REMOTE SENSING/PHOTOGRAMMETRY: The candidate must have (i) a Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics or cognate area with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent (ii) a Masters degree in Geomatics/Geodesy/GIS obtained from a recognized University; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service.  Preference will be given to candidates with PhD

b)       ENGINEERING AND MINING SURVEYING:The candidate must have (i) a Bachelor’s Degree in  Geomatics or cognate area with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent (ii) a Masters degree in Geomatics/Geodesy/GIS obtained from a recognized University; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service.  Preference will be given to candidates with PhD

c)       REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT: Candidates should have (i) a Masters in Estates Management (Valuation/Land Economics/Property Management/Property Development and Investment or equivalentplus a Bachelors degree in Estates Management/land Economy or equivalent discipline with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent (ii) show evidence of engagement in research and service. A relevant PhD and/or a relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
