4.SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

4.1.Job Summary 

Responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology Department. 

4.2.Key Performances Areas

•Design and develop new applications
•Maintain existing SQL databases
•Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC's, servers, network equipment and software applications.
•Monitors, plans and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs
•Perform information technological support
•Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
•Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
•Performs other duties as assigned

4.3.Requirements

•Ideally Bachelors degree in Computer Science
•Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server 2000/2005/2008 and visual Basic programming is essential
•6 or more years of systems/network experience with working knowledge of various network products
•Possession of one of the standard qualifications such as MCSD or MCTS will be an added advantage.

4.4.Competencies

•Self starter with good problem solving skills
•Ability to work in a diverse IT environment
•In depth knowledge of IT systems and applications
