In this role, you will be responsible for the timely execution of the GE Transportation Technology Transfer contracts to support the global growth platform. The Coil Manufacturing Technical Leader will use their full understanding of the Coil Production processes to teach our partner how to produce a high quality product in a timely manner. | |
- Ability to understand the product drawings / documentation and relay this information to our partner's team in order to meet production requirements for Alternators and Traction Motors - Work closely with GE Erie personnel and fully understand all aspects of the coil manufacturing processes - Educate partner's personnel on the training required in South Africa to meet the contract requirements - Accountable for meeting the quality standards required for successful engineering verification of the manufacturing processes - The following documents must be understood and taught as necessary ~ Product Drawings ~ Documents of Technique ~ Manufacturing Standards ~ Technical Specifications ~ Documents of Quality Control ~ Tooling Drawings and Techniques | |
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English - Minimum 4-year technical degree - Mechanical Engineering or Technical related field - Minimum 5 years working in a motor assembly or manufacturing environment - Strong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications and manufacturing processes - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members - Must be self-directed, highly detail oriented, organized and flexible - Must be able to use various hand tools and inspection equipment required in the manufacture of coils ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Ability and willingness to travel as required, both domestically and internationally, including 4-8 weeks of training in USA | |
