2.LEGAL ADVISOR (Francistown)
2.1.Job Purpose
The role of a Legal Adviser is to promote legal and services to customers in accordance with the core services of the company and to ensure that the company conducts its business within a sound legal framework.
2.2.Key Performance Areas
•Assess and monitor claims assigned to attorneys
•Drafting legal briefs to attorneys appointed to act on behalf of clients
•Management of the claims register
•Ensures that time frames are adhered to
•Supervise legal assistants and support staff when required
•Clients interaction with regards to legal issues
•Prepare and make presentations on product knowledge of the legal Guard policy to various stakeholders
2.3.Qualifications
•Degree in Law and admitted to Practice in the courts of Botswana
2.4.Experience
•Must be admitted to practice as an attorney of the High Court and Court of Appeal of Botswana with 5-6 years post qualification experience in Private Practice or similar environment.
•This individual must have experience in criminal law procedures and also civil proceedings and litigation and must be admitted to practice as a Conveyencer and Notary Public by the High Court of Botswana.
•Must be conversant with Judicial Case management in the Magistrates Court and High Court and have a through knowledge of the rules as respectively amended.
