1.CHIEF INVESTMENTS OFFICER
1.1.The Position
The Chief Investments Officer heads the team that administers MVA Funds substantial and diverse investment portfolio, and reports to the CEO.
1.2.Responsibilities
•As head of department, you will be expected to prudently manage the Funds investments in accordance with the guidelines and directives of its Investments Committee in order to optimizer return on investment within the risk appetite as defined by actuarial studies, and to provide professional advice and recommendations to the investments committee
1.3.Requirements
•At least an honours Degree in Finance and related areas or an internationally recognized professional investment management qualification such as CFA, or a professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CA.
•A through knowledge of domestic and international investment practices and opportunities if necessary.
1.4.Experience
•At least 5 years managerial experience in an investment management role in a recognized financial institution.
1.5.Competencies
•As well as being able to manage financial resources you would be expected to have strong leadership and communication qualities, be creative and innovative, decisive, results oriented and be able to plan, organize and coordinate
•As a professional you would share the Funds commitment to accountability, values and ethics and as a team member you would demonstrate network and relationship building
