VACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 13 OF 2014 - DIVISIONAL FIRE OFFICER
POST:DIVISIONAL FIRE OFFICER
SALARY: C2 (P95 508 – P114 180) per annum
QUALIFICATION: Diploma/Degree in Fire Engineering or related field plus two years experience as Station Fire Officer
DUTIES:
•Advice developers on special fire risk and other safety hazard
•Monitors and evaluates levels of compliances with fire safety and building control regulations
•Conducts trade license renewal inspection to ensure adherence to regulations
•Prepares section budget
•Manages station routine activities
•Manages the department’s training programs
•Performs any other duties related to the fire department mandates, which may be assigned
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
•Strategic Skills (Problem Solving and dealing with ambiguity skills)
•Operational Skills (Planning, Timely decision making, Delegation, Informing and Managing and measuring work)
