1.STUDY COORDINATOR - MEDICAL OFFICER
1.1.Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to initiate and oversee a clinical research trial that will treat infected infants. The incumbent will be expected to work with the Principal Investigator for optimal study and unit coordination. She/He will be expected to plan, develop, and oversee the day to day clinical activities of the trial in accordance with the research parameters established by BHP, DAIDS/NIH, CDC and other agencies that govern research practice. She/he will be responsible for the overall supervision of the research study assistants/nurses, other study doctors, data manager and research pharmacist.
1.2.Qualifications & Experience
•Must be a Medical Doctor with experience in Pediatrics and a strong clinical/public health background
•Minimum of 2 years experience of HIV research plus 1 years of supervisory experience.
•The applicant must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be able to self motivate and work independently
