The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism aims to protect the environment, conserve the country’s natural resources and value out of the environment for the benefit of the Nation.
The above vacancy exists in the Department of Wildlife and National parks, under Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism.
Applications are invited from suitable qualified citizens for the above position in the Department of Wildlife and National Parks- Gaborone.
SALARY: D2 (P218 592 – P241 344 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Human
Resources Management or Public Administration or
any related field.
EXPERIENCE: 10 years post
qualification experience, two (2) of which should have been served satisfactorily as Chief Administration Officer I(D3) or equivalent.
Main Purpose of the Job
To manage and coordinate Departmental human resources management and development functions.
Key Performance Areas
• Coordinates and monitors the implementation of Human Resource Management and Development policies, strategies, rules and regulations.
• Interprets terms and conditions of service to staff and advice the Director on matters of Human Resource Management and Development.
• Assists in Managing and supervision of Human Resource Management functions such as: Recruitment and Selection, Staff training and Development, Employee Relations, terms and conditions of service, and staff discipline.
• Liaises with all Departmental units/outstations on all matters pertaining to personnel administration to ensure that action is not delayed.
• Provides guidance and supervision to all staff on areas such as career planning development, deployment and advancement.
• Undertakes any other duties as assigned by Management.
