To manage the plant Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems • Communication of Management information to all role-players and all employees • Ensuring compliance with external, internal and legal requirements Duties:

• Co-ordinated PPE related issues – surveys , assessments specifications
• Co ordinate Emergency Drills and evacuation drills
• Conduct and facilitate Accident and Incident Investigations
• Conduct and facilitate Ergonomic Surveys
• Conduct and facilitate Fire risk assessments, inspections, yearly service and training of fire team
• Conduct SHE Audits
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments
• Conduct SHE training and induction training
• Manage contractors
• Manage security activities
• Actively manage BBSI in workplace
• Conduct safety promotions- safety posters, safety videos
• Incident recalls
• Administer SHE reps and arrange SHE meetings and training of SHE reps
• Liaise with Occupational Hygienist and ensure surveys are conducted and compliance
• Conduct environmental monitoring – water samples
• Ensure legal appointments are in place, updated and current
• Manage Achiever Database
• Liaise with external customers – DME, Dept Labour, DEAT in absence of Risk Manager

Minimum Requirements • National Diploma in Safety Management with plant or mining experience  • Good knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and DEKRA 5 shield system • Risk assessments • Incident investigations • Auditing skills • 3+ years experience on Safety, Health and Environmental Management System in a manufacturing or mining environment
