1.TECHNICIAN- COMPULSORY STANDARDS (Mechanical) - Francistown

Vacancy Circular No. 1/2014/2015

1.1.Job Summary

To enforce compliance with compulsory standards and quality assurance policies and practices to enhance the delivery of goods and services to protect the public in the interest of health and safety, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods andservices and provide inspection services

1.2.Qualifications & Experience

•Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•3 years experience in product inspections, analytical sampling and testing in a commercial/industrial environment.
•Knowledge of relevant pieces of legislation and equipment as well as a driver's license would be an advantage.

2.SENIOR STANDARDS ENGINEER (Electrical): Vacancy No. 2/2014/2015

2.1.Job Summary

To develop and promote adoption of national standards within a particular industrial, commercial or environmental sector and the modification of international standards to meet Botswana conditions and thereby promote the delivery of quality goods and services to customers.

2.2.Qualifications & Experience

•Degree in Electrical engineering
•2 years practical experience in the development of standards
• Recognized expertise in a particular industry, commercial or environmental sector and a light duty drivers license would be an added advantage.

3.STANDARDS ENGINEER (General Purpose) - Vacancy No. 3/2014/2015

3.1.Job Summary

To develop and promote adoption of national standards within a particular industrial or commercial or environmental sector and the modification of international standards to meet Botswana Conditions and thereby promote the delivery of quality goods and services to consumers.

3.2.Qualifications & Experience

•The position requires a Degree in Industrial Engineering.
•Recognized expertise in a particular industrial, commercial or environmental sector and a light duty drivers license would be added advantages.
