Reporting to the Sectional Shift Boss, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:
• Adhere and enforce all rules, regulations and standards pertaining to safety in his area of responsibility as per the legal requirements
• Apply best practices and mine standards to make safe, support, mark off, drill, charge up and blast faces to achieve daily production targets
• Apply best practice and mine standards to operate, repair and construct various items of the rock and material handling facilities at vertical and decline shafts
• Monitor attendance and ensures that subordinates are informed and effective
• Ensures cost effectiveness in use of materials as per set standards
Job Requirements
• BLH/Miner in Charge training
• 3 years’ experience in related field
