Mining Company Location: Botswana Nationality: Motswana citizen preferred Qualifications: Relevant BSc Engineering degree plus relevant Project Management qualification Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications Overview: Direct the feasibility study for the optimum development of the mine resources within the guidelines and standards of operability Job Specifications:
- Ensure that the feasibility study is completed on schedule and within budget
- Report to the Project Director on the feasibility results and recommend any further appropriate action
- Recommend for approval, modifications to the schedule of activities and cost budget for the study
- Recommend and assist in the recruitment of a team, in consultation with the Project Director
- Direct the activities of the feasibility study teams to ensure that adequate investigatory and/or test work is, or has been carried out for all key aspects of the study
- Ensure that a realistic Project implementation schedule is established, including commissioning and production build up rates
- Establish the most suitable approach to the Project implementation
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant BSc Engineering degree plus relevant Project Management qualification
- Proven track record in the management of large mining projects
- Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years experience
- A competent manager and leader of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Motswana citizen preferred
