Overview:

Provide discipline specific input into the feasibility study as well as ensure Operational Readiness for the area of responsibility

Job Specifications:

• Champion of Health and Safety, ensuring that their Discipline complies with all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for key discipline specific design work during the feasibility study
• Together with the Human Resources Department, staff the manpower plan according to budget
• Formulating mining projects, costing and drawing up applications for capital and directing implementation to ensure consistent supply of quality run of mine ore
• Establish the total discipline specific practices and procedures ensuring legal compliance and operational readiness
• Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures for Co-ordination with other operational, maintenance and technical departments to ensure that overall production targets are met, and capital costs are minimised
• Directing implementation to ensure consistent supply of quality run of mine ore
• Ensuring optimal utilization of production resources
• Preparing with discipline monthly and annual budgets and requisite reports

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Engineering degree or other relevant technical qualification
• Membership to relevant professional bodies and associations
• At least  15 years post-graduation discipline experience
• At least  5 years General Management experience
• Experience in the construction of a mine and managing a developing mine
• General management, leadership and people skills
• Motswana citizen preferred
